Hallowed Out
November 03, 2003

Went out for Halloween on Friday with peteypuke, Martini, Trishelle, and JJP. We had to go to Petey's house to finish getting ready as Trishelle was borrowing most of her costume from Petey. She was dressing up as a punk rocker. We are total slow-pokes and JJP the biggest poke of them all was the last to arrive so we missed the Halloween parade we had planned on attending, and had no back-up plans in order. We decided to take a walkthrough the strip of boystown where the bulk of the bars were located and decided to go to the one with the smallest line. However, smallest line = crappiest time. The music was awful and after 2 drinks we all agreed to find something more happening. So we decide on Hydrate a newer gay bar on the strip with a line that did not appear to be so long but was the longest wait. Waiting in line was fun because we got to criticize all the bad drag queens, vote on our favorite costumes (Courtney Love looking for her daughter, and Edward Scissor-hands with a a bush), and ridicule the people who have enough money to rent great costumes. "Those damn "rentals" they think they are better than us!" Hydrate was a bit more lively and a better atmosphere all together but I was super tired since it was a Friday, Trishelle had some cat-trauma which drained her completely as well. So Trishelle and I left and being the pigs that were are we made our cabbie drive through the Wendy's before taking us home. Sunday I waited for my cable guy to come to install the cable and the rest of the weekend I spent watching all the cable I have missed the past month. It was delightful.

Oh and our costumes were; Me: a goth, Trishelle: a punk, Martini: a punk, Petey: a punk, and JJP: a gay hair dresser. However I made jokes to John like:, "John why aren't you wearing a costume?" Especially in front of other gays so they would think he always dressed this way. His costume was a 70's Dior shirt that said DIOR all over it, an old school Gucci bag (the tan and brown with red and green trim), tan hush puppies, a tan 70's leather jacket, 70's sunglasses, a blue and white neckerchief, gold chain, and tan leather belt with lots of garish studs and a huge round beltbuckle (think it was a woman's belt).
