Latch Key Kid's are charming
June 04, 2004

My how things have changed! Back in the old days when Gimme a Break and Family Times were this country's prime-time favorites my summertime was filled with re-runs, Bob Hope Specials, and fresh air. But fast forward to 2004 and I am so looking forward to spending my summer indoors, in the air conditioning, eating Freeze-Pops and kicking back with the ol' tele. Ok not only is there is the new seasons of Six Feet Under, Simple Life, Big Brother and Road Rules. There is also "Blow Out" a new Bravo reality series about a "stylist to the stars" who is opening a new salon and all his wacky hair adventures. And there is "The Ultimate Love Test" on ABC, and another one by my old pal Mark Burnett called "The Casino" on Fox (self-explanatory). And then yesterday, (heavy panting almost out of breathe) peteypuke told me about a new nighttime soap/drama called "Desperate Housewives" in which the opening scene shows one of the "housewives" committing suicide & stars some of are old pals from Melrose Place, welcome back Kimberly! Looks like that golden tan will have to wait until next summer. At least my savior is TIVO who will at least keep my sick television obsessed ways until I actually have time to watch all these little delights. I know I am "one of those people", you know the ones who need to "get a life" and need to "live each day to its fullest" and who should "find better things to do with my time" and who most would say "is killing brain cells and going blind from the tv rays". Thanks Dr. Phil, I know, I know. Maybe this is why peteypuke and I come up with new business venture ideas like having a travelling karaoke business where instead of singing songs you only sing television commercials. "Swoops..........there it is. Swoops....... there it is."
